Sabrina Kaplan
Sabrina Kaplan began her career in science, earning a Bachelor of Science in Physics from California State University, Long Beach. As a student, she conducted research in solid state physics and became the first undergraduate in her department’s history to present at the American Physical Society’s annual March Meeting, the largest physics research conference in the world.
Shifting her focus to law, she concentrated on public interest work and trial advocacy at Temple University’s Beasley School of Law. She began her legal career in criminal law as an Assistant District Attorney for the City of Philadelphia, serving in the Municipal Court, Juvenile, and Diversion units.
She then moved into civil law, gaining a wide range of experience that includes first-party insurance defense, with a focus on insurance fraud investigations and bad faith claims. She has also spent a significant part of her career in third-party insurance defense, drawing on her construction and physics background to successfully defend professional liability cases involving architects, engineers, and construction defect claims. Her experience also extends to personal injury and family law, among other areas.
She joins Ellenberg as a partner, bringing her varied expertise to clients across many practice areas, including zoning board appeals, divorces and adoptions, personal injury claims, and criminal defense. A passionate litigator, she works hard to secure the best possible outcome for every client.
